Gargantua Arena
Story
In a distant future, after an interstellar and time travelling became mainstream, people got bored and invented a black hole battle game. Two players are stuck in a black hole gravity field, trying to kill each other. When one is killed, organizers count a point to the survivor, roll back time and another round can start. Who first kills an opponent 5 times, wins.
This arena is located around a giant blackhole called Gargantua.
Rules
Two players are pushed beyond the point of no return - to the orbit of a black hole without a fuel, with energy for 5 seconds of shield but with unlimited ammo. Shooting causes slowing down - more you shoot nearer to the black hole you get. Objective is to die later than your opponent.
About the game
The game is intended to be a local multiplayer game. If you can get a friend to play with, go for it! There is an A.I.to practice your skills though. So you can play it in a single player mode too but as you can imagine, multiplayer is the next level of fun :)
This game is my entry to the Timdred game jam. It's made in 48 hours (actually in about a day). Except audio (music and sfx - see credits section) it's made from scratch by me. Have fun!
